Obituary of Ruth Campbell Adamson

ADAMSON, Ruth (nee Campbell) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Campbell Adamson in her 93rd year on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Beloved Wife of 66 years to the late Eric (2009). Cherished and loving Mother to Rick (Shelley) of Ottawa and Jane (Jamie) Rizzo. Grandma will be greatly missed by Shannon, Lindsay, Kayleigh and Olivia. Cherished Great Grandmother to Taylor, Alyssa, Aedan and Logan. Beloved sister of Lois Mahaney (Fort Lauderdale) and she will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother George and sisters Annabel, Hazel and Betty. Ruth was a lifelong member of the United Church of Canada and attended Silver Spire United Church where she was very active with the United Church Women (UCW). She was an avid golfer and a member of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club where she developed many friendships with the Nine Hole Ladies. She enjoyed curling, playing cards, watching hockey and following her Blue Jays. Ruth will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will take place at Silver Spire United Church on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. A private family Inurnment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Silver Spire United Church or Community Care would be appreciated by the family.
