Obituary of Lousanoush (Lucy) Hagopian

HAGOPIAN, Lousanoush "Lucy" - At the age of 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4th at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls. She joins her husband, Alexander Hagopian; her son, Samuel Hagopian; and her daughter, Sandra Najarian in heaven. Loving mother and survived by her children Anna (Garbis) Lakhoian, Charles Hagopian, Juliette Hagopian & Alexander Hagopian. She will be sadly missed by her 17 Grandchildren: Liza, Yervant, Santoukht, Samuel, Corey, Lucy, Krikor, Hagop, Chantelle, Linda, Alexander, Zaven, Tanya, Talin, Jordan, Sarkis & Tess and her 3 Great-Grandchildren: Zabelle, Santino & Rocco. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered most for her love to always help those in need. She was a longtime member of the Armenian Community Centre, serving the Armenian Red Cross for over 50 years. Her dedication and commitment to her family, friends and community was unconditional and selfless, touching many lives of those she met. Mrs. Hagopian's family will receive family and friends at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, on Wednesday, April 6th from 7-9p.m. and Thursday, April 7th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, on Friday, April 8th at 11a.m. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. A lunch reception will immediately follow at the Armenian Community Centre of St. Catharines, 156 Martindale Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Hagopian to the Armenian Community Centre of St. Catharines.
