Obituary of Dr. William Walter Combe

COMBE, Dr. William Walter (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine & Veterinary Surgeon) Very suddenly on Thursday March 31, 2016. It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the death of our husband, father and wonderful grandfather Bill Combe. Bill is the loving husband of Kathleen (nee Misener) for 58 years, loved father of Ron and Mary Jane, Dr. Heather Combe and George Darte all of St. Catharines, Randy and Dawnya of Fonthill, Brian and Cheryl of Guelph, and most special Papa and Grandpa of James, Steven, Alicia, Emily, Michelle, Ben and Jacob. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Colleen Misener (the Late Donald), nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by Gregory and Mary Darte and their children Cristiana and Ariana, Christopher and his children, Keegan, Conor and Liam. Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Mary. Bill was the owner of Fairview Animal Clinic along with his daughter Heather. He has been a veterinarian since graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1960, was a member of Mountainview United Church, St. Catharines Gyro Club, and the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. Bill's family will welcome his friends to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, April 2 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. A ceremony of tribute to Bill will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 4 at 1:30 p.m. A private family burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery beside his parents will then take place. A reception will follow at the George Darte Funeral Chapel. If you wish to make a donation in Bill's memory you may make it to the Ontario Veterinary College or Mountainview United.
