Obituary of Chester Warchol

WARCHOL, Chester With the love and support of his family, Chester passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 81st year. Chester has been reunited with the love of his life, Shirley (nee Hillman, 2001). Cherished father of Steve (Bahar), Wendy (Gary) Bol and Wayne. Loving grandpa of Kelly (Adam) Rempel, Kevin (Jennifer) Bol and great-grandpa of Maxwell. Chester will be fondly remembered by his in-laws and also by his nieces and nephews. A longtime resident of St. Catharines and a General Motors retiree, Chester is a member of the St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame and a member of the 1954 St. Catharines' Teepees Memorial Cup Championship hockey team. Chester was passionate for sports and in his later years he enjoyed golfing with his family and friends. Chester will be greatly missed by his many friends that he met over the years. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital, the Walker Family Cancer Clinic who all made his final days comfortable. In accordance with Chester's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. A private family graveside ceremony will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the charity of one's choice.
