Obituary of Barbara "Babs" Birdsall

BIRDSALL, Barbara "Babs" (nee Barkey) Passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016, at the age of 73 at Hospice Niagara, in St. Catharines, ON. Barb is survived by her husband, William G. Birdsall; daughter, Debby Grace Leigh (Birdsall); son, William A. (Emily) Birdsall. Oma to Kaitlyn Elizabeth, Grace Taylor and William Edwin. Sister to Ineke (Jan) Bos; Aunt to Frits Bos, Franet (Guido) v. d. Berg and Frederike Bos, all of whom are in The Netherlands. Sister-in-law to Paul and Liz, Aunt to Kevin (William) and Allison, and her beloved blond Delta. She is predeceased by her parents, Antoinette Martine (Banz) and Anthony Bernadus Barkey. The family would like to thank all of Barb's caregivers during this difficult process. The quality of care would not have been possible without all of you. In accordance with Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family will receive guests at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 12 p.m. with Pastor John Garner officiating. A light reception will follow the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barb's life.
