Obituary of Mary Ida Ahle

AHLE, Mary Ida (nee MacAskill) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness on March 22nd at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 75. She will be missed by her loving husband of 55 years Richard and her cherished children Ken, Harold (Dawn) and Virginia (Carmine) Ciaraldi. Much loved Granny to Brittney (Scott), Jenna (Jesse), Sean, Shannon and Sydney and Great Granny to Carter and Declan. She was loved by her siblings Roddie (Margie), late Sylvia (Buddy), Danny (Adrian), Corrine (Heckie), Wanda, Melinda (Jackie), Nayland (Debbie), Murray (Jannette), Paul (Florence), Carrie (Tom), Glen (Ginette) and Terry (Corinna). She will be missed by Richard's family - Lief (the late Amelda), Gretta (the late George), the late Eric (Tease), Felix (Diane) and Esther (Elmer), and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Kenny and Janie MacAskill and inlaws Richard and Jenny Ahle. Mary loved many things in life but was most passionate about her family, quilting, Project Smile and was a member of the Niagara Heritage Quilters Guild. Mary's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, Ontario on Monday, March 28th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
