Obituary of Pieter deVries

DEVRIES, Pieter - Passed away unexpectedly at his residence at the age of 72. Beloved partner of Brenda. He is predeceased by his late wife Rose. Cherished father of Sherry (Mark) Wakulich and Debra (Bruce Baum) deVries. Loving Grandpa of Jordan and Stephen Wakulich. Brother of Martha (Joe) VanDyk, John (Nellie) deVries, Clarence (Nancy) deVries, Grace (George) Miedema, Richard deVries and the late Janet (Les) Varga. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Pieter will always be remembered for his love of his grandsons, his outgoing personality and strong work ethic. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, March 23rd from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Cremation to follow. A private family service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Humane Society or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family. "God Bless"
