Obituary of John "Jack" Connell McBride

McBRIDE, John Connell "Jack" October 11th 1924 - March 18th 2016 In his 92nd year at The Pines Nursing Home in Bracebridge. Jack was born in Hamilton, Scotland and emigrated to Canada in 1966 with his wife Sarah and young family. Jack has gone to be with his wife Sarah (1992), son John (1993) and daughter Jacqueline (2013). He leaves behind his loving daughter Elizabeth (John) and son Richard, Six grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, John, Julie, David and Sarah and numerous great grandchildren. He will also be remembered by many other extended family members. Jack served on the destroyer HMS Jervis during WWII and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Royal Canadian Legion. A special thank you to all the staff at The Pines Nursing Home, Dr. John Richardson and Dr. Aroyn Todd for all their care and compassion. Jack's family will receive guests at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of Jack's Life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. A Burial will follow the service at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Lakeshore Rd., N.O.T.L. He will always be remembered as a Happy Pappy.
