Obituary of Viola Montreuil

MONTREUIL, Viola (nee Lambert) Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 87, at the NHS - St. Catharines Site. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (1998). Mom to Mary and Jim Ellis of Mexico, Liz and Floyd Patterson, Bruce and Anne, Tim and Teresa all of St. Catharines, Dean and Karen of Welland. Dear grandma of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Viola will be missed by many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Predeceased by daughter Darlene, son Mark, son in law Keith Boyt, grandson Jimmy Boyt, and her brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at the Niagara Retirement Manor, EMS, and the NHS Emergency for all their care and compassion. In accordance with Viola's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive guests at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Viola's Life will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Scottlea Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m. A private family Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
