Obituary of Marjorie Helena Snider (nee Yeandle)

Snider, Marjorie (nee Yeandle) - Suddenly and peacefully on February 16, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Wally (1997) for 56 years, son Bob (1990), granddaughter Lisa (2006) and her siblings Bill, Howard, Carl, Edith and Thelma. Cherished mother of Sandra Duffney, Don (Judy), Doug and Barry (Donna). Nana was, and will continue to be a shining star to her grandchildren Michelle, Andrea (Greg), Jeffrey, Mark (Michelle), Talia, Christopher, Joshua (Erin), Carly (Brandon), Jennifer and Kimberly. Nana will be fondly remembered by her 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Marj was an amazing, vibrant lady that would be disappointed if you guessed she was older than 75 years old - and not many did. She would never turn down a chance to golf, or the opportunity to take a few quarters from you at the card table. She had a "Midas touch" at the Bingo hall, and had 4 Hole-in-ones on the golf course!She will greatly missed by her proud family and wonderful friends. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday between 11 am - 1 pm. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service wil be held in the funeral home chapel at 1 pm. Reception of food and refreshments will be served in the Kristen French Hall of the funeral home after the service. Memorial donations may be made to Rankin Cancer Run or Charity of One's Choice in Marj's honour.
