Obituary of Rick Savarie

SAVARIE, Richard “Rick” Gilbert Joseph Rick passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. At 54, Rick was far too young. Rick was the son of Roger (predeceased 2009) and Elizabeth Savarie. Brother of Guy, Daniel and David. Former spouse to Lorrie Savarie, father to Christopher and Rochelle and loving partner of Francis Graham. Rick was also a cherished uncle to Shanna, Zachary, Samuel, Benjamin and Chasse. He was a proud father, avid sports fan, fishermen and was also unafraid to claim to be an amateur musician. Rick possessed an easy smile and a demeanour which instantly attracted people to him. Rick will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation for Rick will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will follow the visitation, in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Cremation to follow the ceremony. Memorial donations may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society.
