Obituary of Eric Jones

JONES, Eric It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eric on December 20, 2015 at the age of 80. Eric passed away surrounded by the love and support of his family at the St. Catharines General Hospital after a courageous and brief fight with cancer. Eric will be forever loved by his wife of 57 years, Linda. Cherished father of Phil (Sofia Castro), Neil (Lisa), Meryl (Bob) Oling. Loving grandpa of Danielle, Kristen (Shawn), Emily, Sydney, David, Cameron and Trevor. Proud great-grandpa of Hailey, Logan and Taylor. In accordance with Eric's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street , on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Eric's Life will be held at First Grantham United Church, 415 Linwell Road, on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Eric's family appreciates memorial donations given to the Rankin Cancer Run.
