Obituary of Kelly Lee Foster

Kelly Lee Foster (nee Kavanagh) Passed away on December 3, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. Kelly was compassionate to those around her, yet stoic in her battle with cancer. Kelly was the embodiment of everything a mother should be; she instilled in her children a deep sense of independence, a commitment to friendship, and understanding the value of hard work and perseverance. Kelly taught her children to love life! She is survived by her children Grace and Patrick, parents John and Kathleen, brothers John and Matt Kavanagh. She will be missed by her loving friends Karen, Isabel and the community at Niagara Regional Police Services. The family is eternally grateful for the exceptional care and support extended to Kelly by the Niagara Health System Team; Doctors Kim, Levesque, Bokhari and the nursing staff from 3B. Kelly will be remembered by all for her kindness, bravery, elegance, and poise. Her generous and loving spirit will leave a long lasting impact on this world and those she touched along the way. Visitation will be held at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday December 9th from 6 - 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Following the service, a reception will be held, and then an inurnment at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara on the Lake, which family and friends are invited to attend. For those who wish, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the United Way are greatly appreciated.
