Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Fang

FANG, Anthony "Tony" June 3 1961 - November 5 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Anthony Steven Fang at the young age of 54, on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Beloved son of Steve and Irma. Cherished husband of Verna. Adoring father of Ashlyn (Chris), Kylene and Leann. Dearly loved big brother of Rosemarie (Steve) Petran. Brother-in-law of Dennis, Donald and Mervin Main. Son-in-law of Merv Main. Nephew of Theresia Fang, John and Muriel Ullmer, Len and Elvira Wallis with whom he was especially close. Tony is predeceased by his aunt and uncle Hermina and John Fang. Godson to Al Herspiegel and Elvira Wallis. Tony was an employee at General Motors for many years but was a woodsman at heart. Tony will be terribly missed by his many cousins and wow did he ever have a lot of friends. He truly appreciated all of the love that they all showed him during these tough few months. A very special thank you to Emery Neuperger, Mark (Laura) Mazurkiewicz and Tony's life long Friend David (Lisa) Smith. Tony fought a courageous battle with brain and bone cancer due to multiple myeloma. Thank you so much to his team of doctors, nurses and volunteers who tried so valiantly to extend his life and ease his pain. Tony's family will receive guests at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPLE, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Anthony's Life will take place in the funeral home's chapel on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers Tony's family would appreciate donations be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Walker Family Cancer Centre and The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
