Obituary of Edith Mae Corbett (nee Gamblin)
Corbett, Edith (nee Gamblin) - Suddenly on October 31, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 83 years.Loving mother and best friend of Sandy (Gary) Warren. Cherished and adored Nana to Ashley, Andrew, and Aaron. Great Nana to Elijah, Landan and Colin. Beloved sister to Phyllis, Laurie, Sonya; brothers Winston, Samuel, Morris; sisters-in-law Madeline and Hester (Don). Also survived by many loving family members. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill (2003), sister Mary, Marina, and brother Raymond. Edith was a RN at the St. Catharines General Hospital for many years. She enoyed travelling to Arizona with her husband Bill in the winter months. Most recently, she loved to visit her trailer in Vineland with family and friends. She enjoyed the company of her many friends, the lunches and shopping trips they would partake. Edith's cat Chloe and dogs Molly and Zoe will miss her dearly.
Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Monday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with cremation to follow. Burial to take place at a later date at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be to Community Care or the Lincoln County Humane Society in Edith's honour.
