Obituary of Teresa Serroul

SERROUL, Teresa Catherine (née Quinn) Surrounded by her loving family, Teresa continued her journey of faith when she entered her eternal home on Sunday, November 1, 2015 on her 88th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Bernard (2005) for 50 years. Adored mother of Gary (Debra), Catherine (Jack), Kevin (the late Diane), Brian (Helen) and Carol Ann. Teresa will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Justin (Jennifer), Julie, Alexandria, Krysta, Stefan and her first great-grandson, Isaac. Teresa is survived by her last remaining sister Rita (the late Louis), sisters-in-law Ramona (the late Art) and Maureen (the late Cyril), of Cape Breton and many nieces and nephews. Teresa graduated from Nursing School in Kingston and worked at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in St. Catharines. She was a dedicated, lifetime member of St. Denis Parish and the CWL. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, November 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Denis Church, 230 Lake Street on Thursday, November 5 at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, 2250 Highway 20, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Henley House or to the Canadian Mental Health Association. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff at Henley House for their great care and compassion given to our mother Teresa.
