Obituary of Anna Antonia Epp

EPP, Anna Antonia (nee Hornbach) It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Epp announces her untimely passing at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 91 while surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Heinrich Epp (2002). Anna leaves her sons Hans (Diane) and Herbert (Jane). Oma to Nathan and Jared. Born in Iggelheim, Germany to parents Anna Maria and Friedrich Hornbach, Anna came to Canada in 1954. It was here in St. Catharines that Anna began her new life with Henry. She loved her home, her garden and cooking special meals for her family. In later years, bowling, bingo and the Casino filled her days. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. C. Fung, Dr. H. Kim and Dr. E. F. Minkarious. A special thank you to everyone at St. Catharines Place who made her last remaining years pleasant and happy. Lastly, a thank you to Dr. Siddique and nurse Lindsay for their compassion and caring. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Anna's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, October 1st from 7-9pm. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 11:30am in the funeral home chapel. An inurnment will follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
