Obituary of Marie Oretta O'Hearn

O’HEARN, MARIE (nee Lane) – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we wish to share the passing of our Mother on August 6, 2015. Loving wife of the late Norman. She will forever be loved and missed by her daughters, Linda Ireson (Edward), Diane Platts (David), Carol Merritt (Richard), Cindy Alston, (James). She delighted in her Grandchildren and will be missed by Jennifer (Richard), Joanne (Stephen), Douglas (Elizabeth), Christopher (Heather), David (Andrea), Kathryn (Gregory), Jillian (Christopher), Sarah, Tara (Richard), Mathew (Tanya). She had a special place in her heart for her Great Grandchildren Isaac, Luke, Nick, Ruby, Samuel, Charlie, Jake, Mathew, Emily, Taylor, Jorda, Ella, Erica. She is survived by sisters Rita Topolinsky, Eileen Bellows, and brothers Carson Lane and Nelson Lane. Marie gave selflessly to her family. She enjoyed her weekly card games with her sisters and cousin, and used her talent for knitting to benefit various charities. Marie’s family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, August 11th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, August 12th in the funeral home chapel at 11:30am. Burial following in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy#20, Fonthill. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Snacks ‘n’ Sneakers Campaign for Community Care would be appreciated by the family.
