Obituary of Ada Mae Hopkins

HOPKINS, Ada Mae (nee Wright-Tremaine) "Toots" Passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on July 5th at the age of 80. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Eunice Wright, step-father John Manford Tremaine, husband Herman Hopkins, loving companion Harry W. Miller, sisters Kathleen (Byron) Brownell and Wilda Girouard, grandaughter Becky Hopkins and great granchildren Drew and Devin Dennison and Haley Locke. Much beloved mother of Richard, Nancy Patterson, Andrew (Shy) Hopkins, Gary, Cindy (Doug) Gibson, Lori (Philippe) Jolin, and Tracey (John Dockendorff). Cherished Nana of 22, Great Nana Mae Mae of 20 and Great Great Nana of 2. Beloved sister of Muriel (the late Auriel) Arseneau and Mildred (Leonard) Pothier. She also leaves behind her brother in law Jacques Girouard, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mae's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, Ontario on Friday, July 10th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Cremation will follow the visitation. There will be an inurnment at Browns Bains Corner Cemetery, St. John, New Brunswick at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
