I only just learned of George's passing, and I am saddened by it. George was a good friend from university days -- Huron College (UWO), 1965-1968. His room was just down the hall from mine. His was a gentlemanly and friendly presence. He was always there with a smile, a ready wit, and a kindly interest in others. I valued his friendship, and ultimately he was an usher at my wedding in 1970. We lost touch, but he has remained in my thoughts. I offer my sincere condolences to his family.
