Obituary of Giacinto "Jimmy" Pindilli

Pindilli, Giacinto "Jimmy" - Passed away peacefully on Friday May 15, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 90 years. Loving husband to Angela for almost 62 years. Beloved dad to Elena, and Anna Hay. Cherished Nonno to Elyse (Jesse) Howarth, and Chloe Pervan and Bis Nonno to his "little monkey" Rachel Howarth. Devoted brother to Alfredo (Grazia) of Ancaster, sister-in-law Helen and brother-in-law Fortunato Carbone and many loving family members. Predeceased by his siblings Dominic, Lina (Frank) Scullino, Caterina (Rocco) Porto, Joe, Erminia Panuccio, and Savina Carbone. Jimmy enjoyed to garden, especially his tomatoes and worked as a barber for over 60 years. He loved to listen to opera music; play the mandolin; was known for his sense of humour and his love of family gatherings . Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Thursday at 11am. Burial will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Reception will take place in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall at the funeral home following the burial. Memorial donations may be made to Wellspring Niagara in Jimmy's honour.
