Obituary of Betty Ellwood

ELLWOOD, Betty Edith It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty, on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 73. Beloved wife of 54 loving years to Bob. Forever loved mother of Stephen (Lynn), Douglas and Jennifer (Bryan) Honsinger. Special Grandma Bee and Nana to 7 grandchildren. Dear sister of Linda (Ron) Neil, Dennis, Jim (Donna) and Edward. Predeceased by her sister Beaulah Cook (2010). Betty will be greatly missed and remembered for her loving nature and for her generous spirit. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Niagara Falls Hospital for their compassionate care and support. Betty's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Friday, May 15 from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow the service, at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations given to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by Betty's family.
