Obituary of Helen Barnowski (nee Nosal)

Barnowski, Helen (nee Nosal) - After a short battle with cancer, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Thursday May 14, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 75 years. Cherished wife of Frank for 47 years. Loving and caring mother to Ted of Bonneyville, Alberta, Peter (Honee) and Barbara (Eric) of Richmond Hill. Devoted Babcia of Jacob, Maximus and Charlie. Beloved sister to Jozefa (the late Jan), Zofia (the late Jan), Tadeusz (Tosia) and Cocia to John (Catherine), Edward (Jackie), Bernadet (Mike), Marion (Barbara); and Great Cocia to Jack, Ben, Evan, Matthew, Luke, Joshua, Sebastian, Ania and John. Also survived by her brothers-in-law Kazimierz, and Richard (Lori) and many loving family members in Canada and Poland. Predeceased by her sisters Kasia (Jozef), Stefcia (Genek). Helen will be sadly missed but her smile, her laughter and the love she shared with her family will always be remembered and in our hearts. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be said in the funeral home on Monday at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street, on Tuesday at 11am with cremation to follow.
