DICK, Bob
On May 3, 2015, Bob passed away at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Roberta, father of Bob, Gary (Allison) and Kevin. Grandfather to Corey, Conner, Jesse, Lucas, Cullen and Madison. Survived by his brother Paul. Predeceased by his brother Edward. In his early years, Bob coached minor hockey in St. Catharines. His activities were limited due to a stroke at age 54. His great pride was watching his grandchildren playing sports. For the past 5 yrs he lived at Black Creek leisure homes in Stevensville where he made many friends, and loved driving his golf cart around the community. Recently he returned to live in St. Catharines, when suddenly he became very ill. He fought many a battle of illnesses, but this last one he could not defeat. Thank you to the nurses at Shaver Hospital 2West, Dr. Arvinte and Sister Louise for their wonderful care, also the nurses in 3b at the General Hospital. Rest in peace Bob, your battle is finally over. We will miss you. Love your family and friends xo. Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Celebration of Bob's life will take place on Thursday, May 7 at Coppola's Banquet Hall, 203 Carlton St., St. Catharines from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
