Christa. We are truly sorry for your loss of your dad. He knows you and your sister loves him very much and he is no longer in pain. He had a great long life and i remember meeting him and your mom while i was visiting Canada. I don't remember the year but I remember seeing the love you and your family share with one another. Love and hugs to you and your family.

Dear cousins,
We will be thinking of you both today as you bury your father. So many small things that remind us of your dad will never be forgotten. He and mother have decades of shared memories from their childhood in Slovenia before we were even born. She will miss being able to talk about those times. We will miss his warm and generous nature; always bustling in the kitchen to create his signature "pita" or plum dumplings. He was always thinking of others. Today we think of him and keep warm memories to heart. With love from all of us.

Christa (little Sis) and family,
I am so true sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Guido. As a lifeguard years ago at Brock University pool, I fondly remember him coming to swim on the weekends and to sit in the hot tub. Christa would be off diving off the 5 meter tower. Deepest sympathy, Michele. Christa.'c CueBall sends his condolences, too. xoxo

This picture was taken on one of Uncle Guido and Tante Gertrude's many visits to Ohio. That's Tante Mimi on the left with cousins Ina and Gisi in the baby Carriage!! The back of the photo says Cleveland Zoo - August 5, 1957. Good memories visiting family - even before Ria & Christa's time!

While we knew that Uncle Guido had been ill and suffering these past few months, we were still shocked when we heard the news that he had passed away. He was like a second father to me especially as my dear Godfather, and he welcomed Scott into the family with open warms when we married. Always so thoughtful of others and a gentle, kind-hearted man, he will be remembered with fond memories of the many Easters shared together in my youth and fun trips up to St. Catharines in adulthood when Scott and I lived in nearby Ithaca, New York. Despite not having had the pleasure of getting to see him again these past few years, he was only a phone call away and it was wonderful to talk to him and listen to all of his great stories from the past - he had an excellent memory and was a lively conversant. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten - our deepest sympathy to cousins Christa, Gisi and cat cousin Pussy Willow - with love, Ria, Scott, Sophie, Sabu & Pai Mei
