Obituary of Susan Norton

NORTON, Susan "Susie" (nee Friesen) Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence (1971). Loving mother of Diane (Steve) Hauck, Laura (Gordon) Williams, the late Wallace "Wally" (2005) and his wife Barb, Dean (Barbara) and Randall "Randy" (Susan). Cherished grandmother of Deanna (Gord), Debbie (Gilles), Jennifer (Bobby), Jocelyn (Everett), Geoffrey (Alison), Lindsey, Kristen (Erik), Andrew (Crystal), Scott (Lana), Jason, Amanda (Justin), Sarah and Brian (Stephanie). Great-grandmother of Nicholas, Brent, Darrell, Deandre, Aiden, Samuel, Hudson, Kimberly, Violet, Adrianna, Leo and great great-grandmother of Sophia, Lucas and Bella-Mia. Survived by her sisters Margaret Heritz, Eva (Frank) Reid, Nellie Gleitsmann and Nettie (Eric) Vincent. Predeceased by her parents Abe and Anna Friesen, her sisters Anne, Mary, Jessie, Helen, Kay, and her brother Abe. Susan will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Susan worked for many years at Canada Hair Cloth. She was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church. She will be remembered for her love of gospel music, the Blue Jays, and golf. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday, April 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at Christ Lutheran Church, 140 Russell Avenue on Tuesday, April 14 from 10-11 a.m. A Celebration of Susan's life will follow in the church at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
