Obituary of Jean (Liz) Elizabeth Lloyd

LLOYD, Jean (Liz) - Peacefully passed away on Friday, March 20th, 2015 at Hospice Niagara in St. Catharines at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Larry. Cherished mother of Andrew(Jackie)and Heather (Doug). Loving grandma of Owen. Liz is predeceased by her brother Bill (Nicole) Dickinson. Special sister- in- law of Darlene (Ted) Young. She will be sadly missed by her nieces Janet, Catherine and Susanne and her nephews Greg and Billy. Liz was a long time teacher in North York and York Region. She will be fondly remembered by many of her former colleagues and students. Liz had a passionate interest in books, nature, travel, theater, and good food and wine. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at the St. Catharines Hospital and Hospice Niagara for all their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. As per Liz's wishes, there will be no service. A private family service to celebrate Liz's life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to Wellspring Niagara or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
