I was terribly sorry to hear about John's passing. My brother Larry joins me in extending our sincerest condolences to his entire family. The Lindsay's lived just down the street from us on Masterson Drive. Like David Parks, I too can still hear Mrs Lindsay calling Ian in for supper, away from one of our endless games of street hockey. Rest in peace, John.

I was saddened to hear of John's sudden passing and would like to convey my deep condolences to his wife, children and grandchild and to Mrs. Lindsay and Stephen. I was a childhood friend of his in the Masterson Drive neighbourhood and I think back with fondness to those formative and adventuresome times. I can still hear Mrs. Lindsay calling "Ian" in for supper!

I am sad to hear of John's untimely passing. I was a high school classmate of John's and the Wiggins were family friends of the Lindsays with similar immigration histories. My condolences go out to the Lindsay clan and I do hope all is well for Marj and wee Stephen.
Sincerely,
David

I met John in the mid 80s through our passion for cars. He had some parts made for me for my Jaguar which when installed will remind me of him forever. I didn't see him very often but he was at the various car shows and swap meets and we always talked again about my car, his cars and his projects. R.I.P. Ian and keep the pedal to the floor.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the occasion of this loss.
John was one of the most genuine, generous, and warm-hearted person I've ever known. It was my privilege and honor to have known John and Nancy through our shared passion for vintage Elva race cars. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this tragic time.

On behalf of FJHNA, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we learned of this. Although we only met him once driving his Formula Junior Sadler at the Historics at Lime Rock Park this past September, his jovial spirit quickly infected all of us. I don't think there is a racer amongst us who did not take an immediate liking to this man. Apart from the obvious feelings of sadness we all feel when someone close leaves, the Formula Junior racers greatest regret is that we did not have the opportunity to share more events with him. Requiescat in Pace John. Safe trip.
