Obituary of Richard Lepp

LEPP, Richard- Passed away with his loving family and friends st his side on Friday, February 20th, 2015 at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Betty Ann. Cherished father of Kristin (Mark),Heidi and Eric (Petra). Loving step father of David and Dawn (Amanda). Special Grandpa of Dallas, Caitlin, William, Jesse, Ben, Paxton and Paige. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Judith (Max) Frugier, Kate Egetmeyer and his brothers Eric (Barb) Lepp and Thom (Pashana) Lepp. Richard will be greatly missed by his in-laws, Bill (Jeanie) Neudorf, Margaret (Ray) Ehlert, Irene Harssema, Ed (Marg) Neudorf and Ron (Sheila) Neudorf. Dear uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. Richard is predeceased by his first wife Lee, his parents Kay and John and his sister Sylvia (Eric) Yonke. He was a geography teacher, spending the majority of his career at Westpark Secondary School. Richard will never be forgotten by his golf buddies at Rockway, the Merritton Stingers Old Timers Hockey team and the Atherton Street gang. He was an avid fan and supporter of the Niagara Ice Dogs, and he especially enjoyed the intermissions at the Hot Stove Lounge. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and mediacl staff at the St Catharines Hospital for all their care and compassion. A special thank you to Dr. Rabin and Cathy Dakin, as well as Dr. Leslie Martin and Anita Beaton at the Juravinski Hospital. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Barbie, Elly, Ethelyn and Cathy for their never ending love and support. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday,February 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A family service for Richard will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Sylvia R. Yonke Family Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
