Obituary of Stanislao "Stan" DeLuca

DELUCA, Stanislao "Stan" Surrounded by his loving family, Stan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Hamilton General Hospital, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 47 years to Maria. Loving Pa of Dan (Amber), Carmine (Lucy) and Lucy. Proud and supportive Nonno to his pride and joys, Ethan, Kyle, Cruz, Santiago, Isaac, Marisol and Phoenix. Youngest of 10, Stan was the dear brother of Benamino (Maria), Luigi, Francesco (Maria), Antonio and Rosario (Rosa) and brother-in-law of Maria, Rosina (the late Frank), Gabriele (Alba), Luigi (Rosetta) and Giannino (the late Rita). Predeceased by his siblings Emilio, Clementina (Joseph), Concetta (Armando), Maria (Pietro), also by his sisters-in-law Norina and Maria. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Stan lived life to the fullest, enjoying his final days relaxing in the warm sunshine in Mexico. A very special thank you to the caring staff of Star Medica Hospital in Morelia, Mexico and Dr. Witlock and his team at the Hamilton General Hospital. Stan's family will receive family and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, February 20 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Followed by entombment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy 20, Fonthill. As an expression of sympathy, donations given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Stan's family.
