Obituary of Josephine Chudecki

CHUDECKI, Josephine (nee Caravaggio) - Peacefully on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 at the age of 86, Josephine was reunited with her beloved late husband Bruno. Her children, Ellen (Maurice) and Rick, her grandchildren Annette, Adrien, Erica (Traian) and her great granddaughter Ariana were her world and reason for living. Her passion in life was her unending devotion to her entire family. Her favorite past time was dancing, friends, gardening, cooking and traveling. Josephine was the true matriarch of the family. Everyone she touched will never forget her laugh, smile, generosity and energy. We wish to give our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Extendicare for their excellent care, support and compassion during her long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s during the past 4 years. Dearest Josephine, steadfast and true, we will miss your perseverance, quiet strength, elegant style, gorgeous smile and laughing voice. You left us with a brimful of fond memories. We will always love you and never forget you. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, February 20th from 11:30a.m.-1p.m. A Funeral Ceremony will take place on Friday at 1p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. If desired, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
