Obituary of Joseph Richard Lynch

Lynch, Joseph Richard January 5, 1969 – February 16, 2015 It is with deep sorrow that we say good bye to our son, husband, father and brother. Joe has left behind his beloved wife Sandy (Kociulym) of 13 years, and children Ashley and Dylan. Dear son of Mike and Reta Lynch and son-in-law to Mary Kociulym. Brother to James (Jill), Michael (Krissy) and Kevin (Briana). Loving uncle to Joshua, Riley, Emma and Ryan Lynch. Brother-in-law to Shelley and Joe Raftis, their children Kiley, Brandon and Jordan, Mike and Kim Blaha, and Glen Kociulym. Joe was born in the Brampton/Bolton area, where he spent the early part of his life playing minor hockey and many other sports. During his summers while attending college, Joe worked at Emerald Lake Lodge in British Columbia. Joe-Dog spent the best part of his life in the Niagara region, most notably playing hockey for the St. Catharines Falcons and the Grimsby Peach Kings, and played many years with his friends in the old timer hockey leagues. He was a long time member of White Oaks Racquet Club and he worked with his father and mother for almost twenty years at Skyway Digital, and eventually became president. Most recently, Joe was successful in following his dream of opening a Micro Brewery (Brock Brewery), in St. Catharines. Joe had many fond memories at his parent's cottage in Dunchurch, Ontario. After finding and marrying his true love Sandy, they drove many weekends to the cottage. He loved to fish, boat and sing around the campfire. Joe was a devoted father to Ashley, supporting her in her many endeavors, and cherished the many days he spent taking Dylan to hockey and football games. Joe was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and often traveled with his family to the games in Cleveland. A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at White Oaks Resort and Spa, 253 Taylor Road, Niagara on the Lake.
