Obituary of Valerio Cosentino

COSENTINO, VALERIO It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Valerio on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 51 years to Lida. Loving Dad of Dan (Tanya) and Marc (Nina). Proud Nonno of Emily, Noah, David and Gabriel. Predeceased by his loving parents Emilio and Rosaria Cosentino. Dear brother of Tony (Vincenza) and Frank (Mary). Cherished son-in-law of Rosina Furgiuele. Valerio will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thank you to the paramedics and the staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their immediate efforts. Valerio's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 73 Picton St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-Lake. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by Valerio's family.
