Obituary of Ida Donatelli
Donatelli, Ida - Leaving us with heavy hearts, our precious and beautiful mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday February 4, 2015, in her 92nd year, surrounded by the love and affection of her cherished family. We are comforted in that she is reunited with her beloved husband, Michele "Mike" (1992).
Most loving and caring mother of Rosie (Frank) Venneri, Lena (Robin) Walsh, Laura, and Joyce (Doug) Morley. Devoted grandmother to Dr. Michael Venneri, Dr. Jimmy (Michelle) Venneri, Kristen and Raymond (Shuruq) Walsh, Michael and Sandi-Ida Morley. Dear great grandmother to Vienna and Aimen.
Ida was born in Ateleta, Italy. From a family of 13 siblings, she is survived by sisters Maria (Cosimo) D' Eramo and Rosa (the late John) Donatelli.
Mike and Ida's love story began when they married in 1946 and raised a family based on faith and love. Together they shared a true appreciation of life, education, music and the arts, and nurtured these values in their children.
Our family was blessed with love and care and time spent with our mom was always filled with kindness, support, encouragement and guidance. Ida's gracious nature touched many hearts. She was a role model of kindness and patience who taught by example. With her generosity and warm heart, she welcomed everyone into her home. She had a joyous spirit and brought happiness and laughter to every gathering. She was as beautiful as the rose gardens she created. We are grateful for having such a wonderful mother and grandmother in our lives. A special note of appreciation and gratitude to mom's first grandson,
Dr. Michael Venneri, for his compassionate care; his daily visits; his gentle, healing touch and many expressions of comfort and love.
