Obituary of Mary Labatte

LABATTE, Mary (Maria) (nee Cecilli) Passed away at Juravinski Hospital in the arms of her loving family on February 4, 2015 in her 82nd year. Loving wife, soulmate and closest friend of Ron with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage on October 1, 2014. Loved and admired by her children Gina (Pascal) Gaignard, Ron (Michelle), Christine (Ron) Landry and Diana (Ross) Culmer. Mary was the foundation of this family. She was a quiet person, who was the definition of class, who spoke no unkind words to or of anyone. She will be mourned and missed by her husband, children, and her grandchildren Shane, Nicolas, Derrell, Krystin, Kayla, Macey, Eli, Brittany, Dale and Zachary. Mary will also be fondly remembered by twin sister Marilyn Bernard, sister Angelina (Gene) Chorozy, sister-in-law Loretta Bauer and many nieces and nephews. Special Mom to Denise. Predeceased by parents Luigi and Ersilia Cecilli (nee Baiocco), her brother Osvaldo "Ozzie" and sister Sally Spitali. Extreme gratitude to the doctors, nurses and Pheresis room of C4 at Juravinski Hospital for their concern, caring and professionalism in providing comfort to Mary. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, February 6 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Juravinski Hospital - C4 Hematology.
