Obituary of Vincenzo "Vince" Ferraro

Ferraro, Vincenzo "Vince" - Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the age of 89 at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital. Born in Mangone, Calabria, Italy. Predeceased by his parents Marietta and Leonardo Ferraro and sister Lillina Centrone (Giuseppe). Beloved husband of Rose Ferraro (née Rizzuto). Loving father of Rosemary Ferraro Jeji (Rupinder), and Liliana Ferraro. Cherished Nonno of Christopher Jeji, David Jeji and Vincent Ferraro Robson. Brother to Ada Spadafora (Ippolito), Ferruccio Ferraro (Cristina), and Franca Police (Silvio). Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; and cousin to many in Canada, the U.S. and Italy. A special thanks to all of the doctors and nurses who compassionately took care of him. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Friday between 2-4 and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers will be said in the funeral home on Friday at 3:30pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Saturday at 9:30am. Burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following the mass. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Sick Kids Hospital.
