Obituary of Helena Uhryn

UHRYN, Helena - Surrounded by her family, Helena passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in her 93rd year at the Niagara Health System - St. Catharines Site. Beloved wife for 54 years, of the late Maksymilian (July 2000). Loving mother of Stanley (Gladys) of Trenton, Ontario; Joseph (Enid) of Vanderhoof, B.C.; John (Bonnie) of Consecon, Ontario and Walter (Lea) of St. Catharines. Loving grandmother of Laura Street (Tony predeceased 2009), Michael (Sara), Steven; Daniel (Hannah), Melinda, (Christina predeceased 2008), (Conley predeceased 2002); Andrew (Ann); Pamela Dilts (Duke) and Mark. Loving great grandmother to Sienna and Alexander, Patrick and Justin; Viktor; Isaac, Joel and Grace. Many thanks to the staff, 3rd floor Palliative -Oncology for the compassionate care given to Mom and the support given to the family during this most difficult time. Helena's family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. on Sunday, February 1st from 2-4 pm. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 2:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St. on Monday, February 2nd at 11 am. Rite of Committal to follow the service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Niagara Health System -St. Catharines Site or the Canadian Cancer Society.
