Obituary of Lucienne "Lucy" Plourde (nee Comeau)
Plourde, Lucienne "Lucy" (nee Comeau) - After a long battle with emphysema, peacefully died while being surrounded by her family on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 67 years. Loving companion of 11 years to Marcel Petit. Beloved mother to Lisa (Jeff) Hanlon of Windsor, Tina (Pudgie) Plourde-Brick. Cherished Mame of Marc Plourde, James Wilkinson, Courtney Hanlon, Jordan Cosco, Taylor Hanlon, Cassie Brick and Bradley Brick. Also survived by her 11 siblings and many loving family members. Predeceased by her husband Arizema (2001), her parents Albert and Hectorine and brother William Comeau. Lucienne was a founding member and president of Les Filles d'Isabelle for many years. Her grandchildren provided her with strength and inspiration during her health complications. With love and support from Marcel and her dog Molly they gave her great comfort to get her through the days of her illness. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Fuenral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30am at Paroisse Immaculee Conception, 99 Garnett Street. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association of Ontario in Lucienne's honour.
