Obituary of Robert (Bob) Lord

LORD, Robert (Bob) - Passed away on Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at Chateau Gardens in Niagara on the Lake at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Linda. Cherished father of Steven (Wendy), Carol (Brian), Richard (Sabina), Sherri (Troy), Deanne, Nicole (Grahame) and Bobbie-Sue (Gino). Loving Grandpa of 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Special brother of 6 sisters and 2 brothers. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends in England, Brantford, St. Catharines and Australia. Bob is predeceased by his first wife Ann (1995). He was co-owner of Penn Restoration for many years. Bob loved to travel and especially loved the sandy beaches of Mexico, Cuba and Florida. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at Chateau Gardens for all their care and compassion of Bob over the last 5 years. A special thank you to all of Bob's family and friends for all their support, it is greatly appreciated. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, January 22nd from 11a.m.-1p.m. A Celebration of Bob's Life will follow on Thursday at 1p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or The Resident's of Chartwell Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
