Obituary of Shirly Anne Holder

Holder, Shirly Anne (Nee Hogan) - Suddenly on Thursday January 1, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital with some of her loving family by her side at the age of 61 years. Will be sadly missed by her daughter Krista (Ken) McColgan. Cherished Granny of Cameron. Fondly remembered by her brothers Michael (Francine), Patrick (Alison), Tommy, Jimmy (Kim), David (Irene) and sister Cynthia. Also survived by her partner Clem Faucher and many loving family members. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ethel and husband Glenn of 27 years of marriage. Shirly was a passionate volunteer with the Girl Guides of Canada for 25 years, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #350. She welcomed international students and foster children into her home for many years. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday January 8, 2015 from 9:30am-11:15am. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:30am. Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall following the service. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Girl Guides of Canada in Shirly's honour.
