Obituary of Peter Wowk

WOWK, Peter Peacefully passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Linhaven Home at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 59 years of Sophie. Loving father of Stephen (Nancy) and Daniel (Yvonne). Proud "Digy" of Brian, Lindsey, Michael, Christopher and Craig. Dear brother of Maryanne of Hamilton. Peter was employed at Canada Post for 37 years and was an active member of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Peter will be greatly missed by his family. A special thank you to the staff at Linhaven Convalescent Care for their compassionate support. Visitation for Peter will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. John The Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church, 91 Lakeshore Rd., on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations given to St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church would be appreciated by Peter's family.
