Obituary of Diane Estelle Fisher

FISHER, Diane Estelle (nee Duncan) Diane Fisher, 80, of St. Catharines, died Dec. 1, 2014 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Born in Hamilton, she moved to St. Catharines in 1958. She worked for Blenkhorn & Sawle for 30 years. She was an avid curling, baseball and football fan. She moved to Chateau Gardens, Niagara-on-the-Lake, in May. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Fisher (2004). She is survived by her sister Ruth Boulton, of Mount Hope, brother, Ron (Donna) Duncan of Tomball, Texas; nieces and nephews Cindy (Mark) Anderson, Tammy (Paul) Lichty, Brian (Patricia) Boulton, Ken (Marc) Boulton, Kelly (Paul) VanHal, Bill (Wendy) Oblender, Barry (Jean) Oblender, John (Bev) Oblender, Dennis (Anna) Gilmore, Peg Fisher, Dan (Barb) Fisher, Wendie (Gord) Scott; and many nieces and nephews in Texas and great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her cousin, Judy Brandow, Tom Fisher, Dorean Jones and staff at Chateau Gardens. Visitation is at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 8 at 11.30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army. Reception for Family and Friends of Diane Fisher. After the cemetery service everyone is invited to join the family for a reception at the Niagara-on-the Lake Sailing Club, 10 Melville St. To reach the Sailing Club turn right when leaving the cemetery and follow Lakeshore Road to the end at King St. Turn left and follow it to the Niagara River. King St. curves to the right and becomes Delater St. Follow it to the Sailing Club. The reception is upstairs in the White Building on the River.
