Obituary of Robert Taylor McCann

McCANN, Robert Taylor - Passed away peacefully, in his 81st year, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 30th at the NHS - St. Catharines Site. Loving husband of 56 years to Doreen McCann. Devoted father to Kelly (Peter) Simpson, Glen (Cathy), Kim (Mark) Smith. Loving Grandpa to Ashley (Ryan), Taylor, Katie, and Adam. Proud Grampy of Lucas and Benji. Predeceased by his parents, Percival and Jennifer. Bob was a chartered accountant who dedicated 35 years of his working life at the St. Catharines General Hospital, serving 10 years as the CEO. He was a former member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of St. Catharines. Bob was also an active member of First Grantham United Church. Friends and Family will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday, December 2 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at First Grantham United Church, 415 Linwell road on Wednesday, December 3rd at 11am. Cremation to follow. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the First Grantham United Church or the Niagara Health System would be appreciated by the family.
