Obituary of Helen Gordon

GORDON, Helen Louise- Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, November 27th, 2014. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Rodger for 61 years. Loving Mother of Richard (Kate), Douglas (Veronica), and Heather (Malcolm) Swallow. Much adored Grandma of Jeremiah, Shea (Maryann), Joshua (Lee), Alyssa (Rory), and Alexa Belle, and Great-Grandma of Liam. Over the years Helen was associated with many organizations including The Kinette Club, Mary Schmon Singers, Garden City Productions, Harvey Perrin Choir, May Court Club of St. Catharines and YMCA. Helen was a graduate of St. Catharines Collegiate. She was Health Care Aide certified, and worked for many years at Chateau Gardens, NOTL. She will be sadly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Special thanks to all staff at Upper Canada Lodge, NOTL, and the Greater Niagara General Hospital for their around the clock care and attention. In accordance with the family wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Donations may be made to the Steve Ludzik Centre for Parkinson Rehab or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
