Obituary of Robert Keith O'Neil

O’NEIL, Robert Keith – Passed away suddenly at home on Sunday Nov. 16, 2014 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of 59 years to Pamela (nee Mudd). Loving father to Dawn (Douglas) Baird of Rockland Ontario and Mark (Lorrie) O’Neil of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Loving Papa to Corey (Heidi) Baird, Kelly (Chris) Green all of Ottawa and Jeffery O’Neil of Niagara Falls. Dear Grand-Papa to Liam, Dylan, Cameron, Ella & Abagail. Beloved brother to Jack, Margaret, Jean, Betty, Terry, Frank, Sheila, Pat, Ray & Edward. Will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews across Canada and England. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Bob served as a submariner with the Royal Canadian Navy. He retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander after being stationed at various installations across Canada and in England. After his retirement Bob enjoyed lawn bowling, and eventually became an executive member with the Ontario Lawn Bowling Association in charge of referees. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL – 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday Nov 20th from 2-4 P.M. and from 7-9 P.M. A Celebration of Robert’s life will take place on Friday, Nov 21st. at 11 A.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciate by the family. “Bob’s Spirit will live forever”
