Obituary of Angelo Galante

GALANTE, Angelo January 12, 1930-November 9, 2014 Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital after a courageous battle, with his family by his side at the age of 84.Beloved husband for 59 years of Carmela and much loved father of Mary Rose (Gioachino), Charlie (Jackie) and Patty (Michele). Loving Nonno to Daniela (Alessandro), Giuseppe (Maria), Elisa, Angelo, Michelle, Christina and Daniel, and Great Nonno to Gabriele and Francesca.He will be missed by his brother Francesco (Rosa), sister Calogera (the late Salvatore), sisters in law Giuseppina (the late Giuseppe) and Giovanna (the late Salvatore). Also survived by Carmela's family Maria (the late Paolo), Rosa (the late Francesco), Filadelfio (the late Maria) and Giuseppina (the late Michele). He was predeceased by his parents Calogero and Rosa, sisters Rosalia and Crocetta, and Carmela's family Concetta (Giuseppe) and Salvatrice (Faustino).Angelo is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Angelo's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, November 13th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, November 14th at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street at 11am. Entombment following in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Brain Injury Community Re-Entry would be appreciated by the family.
