Obituary of Donato Dortono
DORTONO, Donato ' Don ' -passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday June 30, 2011 in his 85th year. Loving husband to Leonora for 59 years. Cherished father to sons Paul (Sandi), Carmen (Kelly), Marty (Darlene), Raymond (Marline) and daughter Sharon (Frank) Hauck. Special grandfather to Carli, Nick, Sarah, Jason, Joey, Sam, Luke, Katie, Kristen, Lauren, Andrew and great grandfather to Abby, Charlotte and Oliver. Survived by brother Dave (Marlene) and sister Mary Fulton. Predeceased by brothers Dominic, Anthony, Alfred, George, Joe, Steve and sister Ruth. Don retired from Kimberly Clark paper mill after 49 years. He loved fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. Don will be missed by his friends at Garden City Manor. He will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. Don's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL at 585 Carlton St., St.Catharines from 7-9 p.m. on Monday July 4th. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday July 5th at Central Community Church at 240 Scott St with a brief visitation period starting at 10 a.m. and the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Victoria Lawn cemetery at 2 p.m. Donations to the St Catharines Niagara Street Salvation Army or charity of your choice in lieu of flowers will be appreciated by his family.
