Obituary of Joan Dixon

DIXON, Joan Passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 5th, 2014 after a courageous battle. Loving wife of 34 years to John "Jack" Dixon. Adoring Mother of Dawn (Ken) Ledwez, Trudy (Colin) Schroeder, Nigel (Lori) Punton and Stephanie Dixon. Proud Nana of 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear sister of Irene (Martin) Sanford and Roy (Pam) Kershaw. Special thanks to Colleen O'Gorman and all staff of Oncology at NHS-St. Catharines. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, October 9th from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Joan's life will take place on Friday, October 10th at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
