Obituary of Rose Sara DeLuca

DELUCA, Rose Sara Rose Sara DeLuca, age 19, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving family on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Rose was the daughter of Tony and Carmela DeLuca of St. Catharines. Cherished twin-sister of Ross and adored big sister of Matthew. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her grandparents Rosario and Rose DeLuca of St. Catharines, and Arnoldo (the late Anna) Izzo of Beamsville. She will also be missed by her aunts and uncles; Fil (Pino), Sylvia (Tony), Ralph (Karen), Rita (Jeff), Tony, Connie, Maria, Antoinette (Joe), Anna (Ishti) and her cousins Jamie, Jonathon, Anna, April, Peter, Sophia, Daniel, Madeleine, Joey, Siena, India, Marisa and Danielle. Rose was a kind and gentle sweetheart who always had a smile for everyone. She was a girly girl who loved shopping, listening to music, family get-togethers and her little dog Abby. Rose was a teacher of life; she showed us how to be happy even when we didn't feel like it. She remained happy and strong to the end, always wanting to comfort others before herself. Rose has gone to be with the Lord and is reunited with her nonna. Ma, you have your little Calabreselle back. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, October 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 34 Elgin Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, 2250 Highway 20, Fonthill.
