Obituary of Amato Peter DellaVecchia

DELLAVECCHIA, Amato "Peter" Peacefully on Tuesday, September 23rd at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS at the age of 64. Much loved father of Jerry (Filomena), Patrick (Maria) and Michael (Linda), and cherished Grandpa of Joseph, Daniel, Anthony, Dylan, Matteo, Ava and one grandson soon to join us. He leaves behind his loving companion Connie Williamson. Dear brother of Jerry (Nancy), Patrick (Margaret), Carmella (the late John), Joanne (the late Ralph) and Filomena (the late Amato). Peter also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Maria Lola, and sister Flora. The family extends sincere thanks to the Hamilton General Hospital and St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion. Peter's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, September 26th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, September 27th at 11:30am. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rankin Cancer Run would be appreciated by the family.
